Relational Databases vs NoSQL Databases

A Relational database is a type of database that stores and provides access to data points that are related to one another. In relational databases, everything is structured, you need to predefine the schema for tables and the challenge is to fetch data across multiple tables. On the other hand, NoSQL databases are also referred to as Not Only SQL because they do not necessarily use or support SQL query language.

Let’s compare Relational databases versus NoSQL databases:

The future is both the systems merging and having users choose atomicity and consistency features based on the use case of the data. This would ensure the strengths are added and limitations are minimized.
